I pumped watered down gas in my car while traveling from West Virginia to Orlando on Easter weekend. This happened at a BP gas station in Charlotte NC on I77. This was an extremely dangerous condition for driving because the engine cuts off leaving you with no steering and no brakes. It you are interested in knowing more information regarding the station involved, or if you if you had a simililar experience, please contact me at lindsaysmart@yahoo.com.

Dear Mr. Ullrich:
I have been trying to get information regarding my stimulus check, which I should have gotten around June 27. I cannot get any information from the website, telephone numbers, and I don’t know what else to do. I see you on TV helping other people and I never thought I would have to call you for help. I am 72 years old, and if you can tell me who to call or contact I would appreciate it very much.
I am having trouble getting my car repaired after it was flooded by Fay. It is insured by State Farm and I contacted them the first day the water receded enough for me to examine the car and saw the full extent of the damage (8/21/08). I was given a case number at that time and told someone else would contact me with further instructions. Approximately 24 hours later someone from the claims department called to tell me that someone was coming to pickup my car and I needed to remove all of my personal property from the car.
By now I am quite confused and asked why cant I have my car taken to my local dealer, they are the only ones that ever worked on my car and I prefer it stay that way. The claims person replied that from the symptoms I described that the car would most likely be totaled and this would help to expedite the process and get me back on the road. This is when I asked where they were taking my car and again the claims person said she would have to call me back with that information, she didn’t know. Well like the last time, approximately 24 hours later someone from the claims department called to tell me they were taking my car to Ft. Pierce (55 miles away)…
it only gets worse from here. It’s been 16 days since I first contacted State Farm and got a case number and am currently waiting for State Farm to do a second inspection to, I guess to confirm or deny the dealers estimate. Can you help? All I want is to get my car fixed, I really liked that car and took great care to keep the service up to date for the warranty.
I bet if I had elected to add the rental car coverage to my policy they would have had my car back to me in days, not weeks.
Please e-mail me if you need further information and I will reply with a phone number.
Thank You.
Todd sorry about yesterday,I tried to get Edwin to see that somthings are not cleared up by just an apology.Who knows how many people have been scammed by these funeral homes linked with orange county.I really feel upset that this about this an this event ,I’ll never forget.Just thinking about it makes me feel angry inside. So what if he gives me my money back. It won’t heal my agonizing pain,or help with my sleepless nights with an overflowing tears that leap on my pillow. You see i’m bipolor and am not only suffering the loss of my mother but, I had also lost my daughter’s father which died Feb. 17,2008. We were together since I was 14 yrs old till 20 years age. Even though we had broke up we remained good friends until the day he died.I feel that Gail took full advantage of our situation. You can hear some of the police calls made on Aug.4,2008 from where I tried to find my mother’s dead body.An on top of that, going to file the paper work with Edwin’s coworker Lin or Linda which was very rudeto my family and I.Plus,I had to check mygrandfather which suffers from alltimer and demenca into a nursing home. Once that was taken care of I slit my wrist and took 27 kalonopin to commit suicide.
I am now in recovery and am slowly putting my life back in order.I asked my aunt Rhonda if she could speak with you and Edwin on my behalf. Her number is (321)439-5530. She’s a witness to all ofthat days events. Ask Edwin if they keep camera in there,I’m sure they do since it is a fed. office. Please still help me with this matter so It dosen’t happen to someone else.I am to weak and angry with this whole process.
Thanks,
Meagan Harris
P.S.Edwin asked me what I wanted from them that’s when I said for the car to be fixed not by him but by Gail which watched us get in our car and almost hit a tree at the crematory and didn’t even ask if we were Ok.
How heartless can a bank be? As with most Americans’ I am also in a severe financial bind. I have been out of work for a year. I have been searching as with the rest of America for a job. The unemployment rate is through the roof and there are very few jobs available. I have gone to Job Fairs, only to be told by employers to apply online. I did what they asked and applied online. For all the applications I have submitted I usually don’t get a reply from them. So in the time I search for a job, my bills pile up and the constant phone calls begin at 8 am and don’t end until 8 pm Sun thru Sat, and even on holidays.
Well I was fortunate to finally land a job to get some income into my house. A chance to catch up on bills and get back to normal. I started working and was looking forward to a regular paycheck.
I figured out what it would cost total to catch myself up. I sold some of my personal property and went straight to the bank. I made a deposit and wrote out my checks to cover my utilities and past due bills. I could see a relief, catching up and getting a regular paycheck to remain caught up and current on my bills.
However a SunTrust representative called me and after being extremely rude and told me I could only handle this by phone with him, decided that this was not going to happen. I was default on a loan SunTrust. So SunTrust, being the friendly financial institution that they are, decided to empty my bank account for their loan not was the amount that was past due but all of it. SunTrust took every cent I had in the bank, Left me with nothing, a balance of ZERO.
Now I have several checks out that are going to bounce, that the deposit I made would have covered, even with extra money for gas to get to my new job, and SunTrust will charge me more money for each returned check. I did notice that they gave me a negative balance and paid the two checks I wrote for the SunTrust accounts, but returned all the other checks that were not for SunTrust accounts.
I have been a SunTrust customer for 20+ years and I guess because I had a rough year that I should not be a customer of theirs anymore. It is a shame that a bump in your credit and regardless of your past and that the economy is in chaos that a Bank can only think of themselves. Well I am now further in debt and could loose my home. Thanks SunTrust appreciate all you have done for me.
I know I am not the only person that has had this done. It seems that if you want to boost the economy you try not to drive people further into debt. Now I know nothing is going to happen and SunTrust will surely not give me back any money. But demand that I pay all the fees that they are going to charge me. I don’t have perfect credit and a very limited retirement income that barely paid utilities and my mortgage. But what baffles me is that a bank can be heartless enough to take more than what is past due and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.
Thanks for Listening and letting me vent. Francis L. Teste
I JUST SAW ON THE NEWS THAT RICH DEVOS OF AMWAY HAS TAKEN A STAND ON GAY’S GETTING MARRIED HERE IN FLORIDA. I HAPPEN TO AGREE WITH HIM (NO GAY MARRAGE). IT IS ABOUT TIME WE AS A TOURIST STATE SHOULD REMAIN TRADITIONAL FAMILY FRIENDLY AND THAT IS WHY I SAY HOORAY FOR RICH!!!
I have received by mail a letter and a check from a Company called Investment America, Inc. I know this is a scam, but am not sure how and who to report this to. The letter states that the receiver (me) has won a shopping lottery and the check iis in the amount of $4,700.00 with instructions to contact a claim agent immediatly with a name and number listed on the letter. There is a bond fee before the remaining funds can be distributed that they are requesting using Western Union or Money Gram.
I would appreciate any guidence on how to report this scam.
Just on simple question? Is there a control on the price of a gallon of milk?Near our house the gas station charge us $7.08 for a gallon of milk. Is this legal. Please let us know. Thank you.
Leesburg Fla. As an 55 year old Black American I find it very appalling to hear Barbara West asked Senator Joe Biden the question about a Karl Marx quote, and comparing Barack Obama to Karl Marx. The late President Ronald Reagan implemented a similar tax plan. She said that she or the people want to know what Barack’s tax plan mean. What people are she referring to? I understand Obama’s tax plan. Calling an individual a Socialist is another racist code to label some one of COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
